To honor the Cycle of Life and Death

On the night from October 31st to November 1st, the veil between worlds is lifting.
In this sacred passage of time, the realms of the seen and unseen draw closer and we are invited to remember the eternal cycle of life, death and rebirth.

Across cultures and ages, countless traditions honored these sacred passage as a time to celebrate the ancestors and to pay tribute to the mystery that weave all of life together.

Samhain, the ancient Celtic New Year, stands at the root of many of these celebrations – Halloween, Día de Todos los Santos, All Saints’ Day, and El Día de los Muertos.

It marks the turning of the wheel into the dark half of the year – a threshold for release, renewal and new beginnings.

On this night, we gather in Ceremony to honor the sacred dance of Life and Death and to reconnect with those who walked the path before us.
This night also marks the first chapter of our new “Ritual of Dance” series at Cinco Lunas – a sacred space where rhythm becomes medicine and movement becomes wisdom.

Metsa Yaka will open the space by sharing the sacred Medicine of Cacao, a heart-opening elixir that softens our being and prepares us for the inner journey. She will then guide us through a Breathwork Ceremony, helping us to transcend the boundaries of the mind and awaken the presence that lives within.

Following this, Xaguar will lead us into an Ecstatic Dance Ritual, a musical offering woven from Medicine House Music – a blend of medicine songs and mantras merging with the deep electronic rhythms of Organic House, Afro House, Latin House, Tribal & Ethno House and Melodic House.

Through movement, sound and spirit, we will dance between the worlds – celebrating life, honoring death and remembering the timeless essence that connects us all.

About Cacao

Cacao Ceremonies originated all the way back to the ancient Mayan and Aztec traditions of Central and South America, where the spirit of Cacao, known as Mama Cacao, was honored and invoked in sacred ceremonies.

Her medicine was revered for opening the heart, bringing clarity, restoring inner harmony and connecting us to the wellspring of our creativity. The heart-opening essence of Cacao has the power to unlock states of pure euphoria, releasing emotions long held within. It invites us to connect with our higher Self, our inner wisdom and the loving energy flowing through our bodies, while gently calming the mind.

Through “Conscious Connected Breathing“, we transcend the limitations of the mind, increasing the flow of oxygen to the brain and throughout the bloodstream.

This breath activates our neural pathways and releases hormones such as Anandamides, often called the “Bliss Hormones”, guiding us into a space of profound peace. From this place of connection and relaxation, stress, anxiety and repressed emotions can be released and our awareness and creativity are heightened. In the stillness, we come into a deep sense of inner peace, love and compassion, allowing our true being to emerge.

About Ecstatic Dance

Ecstatic Dance is a free-form spiritual dance practice with the intention of creating a healing journey, transforming one’s consciousness, connecting with one’s inner self and freeing your mind and body. In a safe environment without observers, judgment, phones, shoes and alcohol.

Ecstatic Dance Guidelines:

• Non-verbal inner journey 
• Safe and sacred space → we respect all dancers and their forms of expression, without any judgment
• Conscious and mindful setting → free of alcohol and drugs
• Express yourself and raise your vibrations → move freely, follow the wisdom and natural movement of your body, open yourself to everything that wants to be felt, expressed and released, allow yourself to expand
